No fourth season for Under the Dome?

For all the fans of ‘Under the Dome’ it might be terrible news, for all non-fans it could be good news. Executive producer Tim Schlattmann announced on a CBS Summer press event about ‘Under the Dome’ that all questions will be answered at the end of the third season. He leaves a big question mark behind on the possible future of ‘Under the Dome’.
"At the end of the season you will know everything."

However, nothing has been decided or confirmed yet about the possible end of ‘Under the Dome’, the series that is based on the novel with the same name by Stephen King.

Given the uncertain nature of the renewal rat race, it is likely that the finale of the third season can serve as a series finale if the ratings stay behind. But a lucrative deal with Amazon could also affect the future of ‘Under the Dome’. It could also just be that the promise that everything will be answered in the third season of ‘Under the Dome' will draw more viewers.

It remains to be seen how much closure or story expansion ‘Under the Dome’ gets after the ominous, or positive, comment of Schlattmann.
