The first three episodes of the new season of Van Helsing had finished production before everything was halted due to the coronavirus. The remainder of the episodes will now also be able to begin their production. It is the first drama series which has resumed production in Canada.
Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Ali Liebert (Bomb Girls) and Steve Bacic (Virgin River) will join the cast for this final season. Last December, the fifth and final season of Van Helsing was announced by Syfy. The premiere of the thirteen-part fifth season is still planned for this fall. Last February, the fourth season of Van Helsing released in various countries on Netflix.
