Trailer for Virgin River season seven shows wedding chapter for Mel and Jack

Netflix has released the first trailer for the seventh season of Virgin River, hinting at a major transition in the lives of the main characters.
Netflix describes the new season of Virgin River as “the end of one chapter and the beginning of another,” emphasizing that the events build on the emotional developments from previous seasons while ushering in a new phase for the characters.

The new season picks up directly from the events of the season six finale, where restaurant owner Jack Sheridan and nurse practitioner Melinda Monroe, played by Martin Henderson and Alexandra Breckenridge respectively, have finally gotten married.

Their marriage is the result of a long romantic development that began with their engagement in season four. The season six finale also introduced a significant storyline where a pregnant patient of Mel considers giving her baby up for adoption to Mel and Jack after the original adoptive family withdrew. This development forms an important basis for the events in the new season.

In season seven, which will be released in its entirety on Netflix on Thursday, March 12, Mel and Jack are at the start of a new chapter as a married couple. They focus on their shared future and try to fulfill their dream of adopting a child.

At the same time, they face new challenges and emotional complications. Old romantic relationships continue to exert influence and cause tensions, while new threats disturb the peaceful and close-knit nature of the town of Virgin River. This ensures that the series remains true to its blend of romance, drama, and unexpected conflicts.

Virgin River is based on the book series of the same name by Robyn Carr, which is a New York Times bestseller. This popular book series comprises more than twenty parts and has sold more than 13 million copies worldwide. The success of the books has contributed to the popularity of the television series, which has developed into one of Netflix's longest-running romantic drama series.
