The final episode of the eighth season of When Calls the Heart has only just aired, but Hallmark Channel has already decided to renew the series with its ninth season. In 2014, When Calls the Heart premiered on the network. Since then, the show has managed to have a lot of viewers. It is not yet known when the ninth season is set to premiere.
When Calls the Heart revolves around Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow, Army Wives), a young teacher who moves to a small town in Canada. Thatcher comes from a rich family and has lived in a big city all her life. Now, she has to completely adapt to her new situation. Next to the new teacher, a mountie also moves to the little town.
