No second season for White Lines?

It doesn't appear all that good for the 'successor' of La Casa de Papel. It appears as if White Lines will not have a second season, despite there being no official confirmation from Netflix.

Actor Daniel Mays has - just like actress Angela Griffin - indicated that the series will not be continued with a second season. The fans of the Netflix series will not receive an answer about the questions that remained after the ending of the first season.

Mays, who portrays Marcus in the series, has revealed via Instagram that the Spanish/British series - which was previously announced as the successor to La Casa de Papel - was cancelled.

The series about the unresolved murder on Ibiza premiered in May 2020. Griffin, who portrays Anna in the series, revealed the following in early August; "My gut feeling is that it was left in a place where it is nicely tied up." Mays has now added the following on Instagram;

The series was written by Álex Pina, who was also responsible for the success of La Casa de Papel and has worked on Vis a Vis. The producers of the hit series The Crown were also part of this project. Unfortunately, the series wasn't as successful as hoped. Netflix hasn't released any official statements regarding these revelations.
