Women of the Movement

Women of the Movement is an American drama series which aired on ABC. The series premiered on Januari 6, 2022.

The series centers on Mamie Till-Mobley, a soft-spoken young mother in Chicago, who put her own life on the line to seek justice for her son Emmett after his brutal killing in the Jim Crow South. Unwilling to let his murder disappear from the headlines, Mamie chose to bear her pain on the world’s stage, thus igniting the civil rights movement as we know it today.
