Netflix gives start date and first look at XO, Kitty season two

Netflix has released a first look at the new season and announced a start date. Kitty Song Covey and her friends are back in Seoul for another semester in the first footage of season two of the Netflix dramedy XO, Kitty. The romantic series, a spin-off from Netflix's To All the Boys film trilogy, follows Song Covey's youngest sister, Kitty, played by Anna Cathcart, as she navigates her teenage years filled with love and friendship while attending the Korean Independent School of Seoul goes, often called KISS.



The first season of However, Kitty couldn't tell Yuri what she felt when Yuri's ex Julianna (Regan Aliyah) returned.

To add an extra layer, Kitty's former nemesis and reluctant roommate Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) confessed his feelings for her.

According to a synopsis for the new season, the titular character is in for a season full of lessons about trusting, platonic, and romantic relationships. "Kitty Song Covey is back in Seoul for another semester at KISS. She's single for the first time in a long time and ready for a fresh start: no more meddling, no more drama. Maybe just some casual dating," the synopsis reads. "Emphasis on ordinary. But she has more on her mind than her love life, as a letter from her mother's past sets her on a wild journey and new faces at KISS bring change."

Netflix also released a video inspired by the TikTok trend announcing that the show's second season will kick off on Thursday, January 16, 2025. “Kitty is coming back” a voice exclaims in the video as Cathcart turns her head to the camera to shout, “When?”.

XO, Kitty has been renewed for a second season, just four weeks after the series racked up 72 million viewing hours worldwide in its first week, according to internal Netflix figures.
