Filming for XO, Kitty season three concludes and new cast members revealed

Production on season three of the hit Netflix series XO, Kitty has wrapped in Seoul, South Korea. At the same time, Netflix announced three new cast members.
XO, Kitty has announced three new cast members, as well as promoting an existing actor to series series regular and a new showrunner for the new season. New cast members include Sule Thelwell (Saint X), Soy Kim (Like a French Film, Sorry Not Sorry), and Christine Hwang (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit).

Thelwell will take on the role of Marius, a character loyal viewers will recognize as Q's former roommate (played by Anthony Keyvan). Kim and Hwang will play Yisoo and Gigi, respectively, in recurring guest roles. Hojo Shin, who plays Jiwon, has been promoted to series regular for season three.

Valentina Garza will take over as showrunner, following Jessica O'Toole, who was involved in the series' renewal earlier this year. Garza co-wrote seasons two and three and helmed the season two finale. She was officially named showrunner in the spring, just before or during the start of filming in May.

At the end of season two, Kitty (Anna Cathcart) asks if she can join Min Ho's (Lee Sang-heon) family on their music tour. That scene hinted at a possible budding romance between Kitty and Min Ho, who had already confessed his love for her at the end of the first season. Kitty's love life had been a rollercoaster up until then: she traveled to South Korea because of her feelings for Dae (Choi Min-yeong), but also became confused along the way by her feelings for Yuri (Gia Kim).

The series' renewal was announced on Valentine's Day 2025, a month after the launch of season two. Notable additions to the previous season included new characters like Praveena, Mr. Moon, and Jin, as well as a cameo from Noah Centineo, who offered Kitty a heartfelt welcome.

XO, Kitty, a spin-off of the To All the Boys franchise, continues to be a beloved character for fans worldwide and the third season looks set to herald a new chapter in Kitty’s search for love and identity with new faces and a fresh showrunner.
