Netflix unveils the surprise announcement that YOU season 4 will premiere earlier than expected, with Joe Goldberg stalking a new environment.

You season 4 gets an earlier premiere date on Netflix. In a fashion that's become expected by viewers, YOU season 3 ended with a shocking death that leads Penn Badgley's Joe Goldberg to make drastic changes to his life and move to a different location. At the end of the third installment, Joe finds himself in Paris — it's both an effort to blend in and look for Marienne (Tati Gabriel). But with new episodes just a few short months away, Joe will once again have to acclimate to fresh surroundings.

It was already known that You was going to be divided into two parts. In a surprise announcement, Netflix has confirmed that YOU season 4, part 1, will debut on Thursday, February 9. Part 2 will release exactly a month later on March 9. This is a change from the earlier release plan, which saw the romantic thriller arriving on February 10. The upcoming installment of YOU was previously teased with a poster of Joe looking ominous.

The main cast of the fourth season of You will consist of Lukas Gage (The White Lotus), Charlotte Ritchie (Ghosts (2019)), Tilly Keeper (EastEnders), Amy-Leigh Hickman (Safe), and Ed Speleers (Outlander). Naturally, Bedgley and Gabrielle will also return.

Badgley's character not only tends to fall in love with a new girl, in every new place, but he has a tendency to wreak havoc on the lives of acquaintances wherever he goes.

There is a chance that You season 4 will encounter problems as it works to distinguish itself and offer a unique take on what it has previously set up. The series likely can't rely on the same setups, with fans hoping that there will be some sort of definitive endgame in sight. The positive is that, with this latest announcement, the wait has become slightly shorter.
