You renewed for third season at Netflix

You is an American drama series from the Lifetime channel, but has since been taken over by Netflix. The second season has been released on the 26th of December.

Based on Caroline Kepnes' best-selling novel of the same name, You is a 21st-century love story that asks, "What would you do to love?" When a brilliant bookstore manager Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) crosses the path with an aspiring writer, his answer becomes clear: everything. Using the internet and social media as his tools to collect the most intimate details and get closer to her, a charming and uncomfortable crush quickly becomes an obsession as he quietly and strategically removes every obstacle - and person - in his way.

In December 2019, Penn Badgley revealed in an interview that You was already renewed for a third season. Netflix has now officially confirmed that a third season will follow. The third season of the series will release in 2021 and consists of ten episodes, Netflix says.

In the first season Joe Goldberg's obsession was Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), but in the second season his focus shifted to a new victim: Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti). At the end, however, she turned out to be completely different than anyone could have imagined. In the third season, Goldberg seems to be going for a new victim.
