Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Trailer Shows Tribute to the Comics

In the released trailer, Peter Parker flings his web between high school and fighting crime. Spider-Man may answer to a higher authority, but unfortunately for Peter, the high schooler is still ruled by the clanging of hall bells. And while Parker has a clean record of doing good, his attendance record wants to have a word with him.



The sleek animation style, an homage to the famed New York hero’s early comic book roots, follows Peter Parker on his journey to becoming Spider-Man in the MCU. In this alternate timeline, as the trailer reveals, the web-slinger’s story is led by Norman Osborn (of Oscorp), the alter ego of bitter enemy Green Goblin, instead of Tony Stark.

The 10-episode series, which debuts on Disney+ on Wednesday, January 29, features a voice cast including Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox.
