Tegen de achtergrond van de Chinese Culturele Revolutie stuurt een geheim militair project in 3 Body Problem signalen de ruimte in om contact te leggen met buitenaardse wezens. Een buitenaardse beschaving die op het punt staat vernietigd te worden vangt het signaal op en is van plan de Aarde binnen te vallen. Ondertussen vormen zich op Aarde verschillende kampen die van plan zijn om ofwel de superieure wezens te verwelkomen en hen te helpen een wereld over te nemen die als corrupt wordt gezien, of om tegen de invasie te vechten. Het resultaat is een sciencefiction meesterwerk van enorme omvang en visie.

It is just not known how many episodes and over how many seasons those episodes will be divided. "The 3 Body Problem TV series has been renewed by Netflix, but it is unclear for how many more seasons. I read somewhere that the numbers for this series were disappointing and that instead of telling the story in three seasons, they are now going to do it in two seasons. But this mainly seems to be an interpretation of the well-known tabloid website SerieTotaal as it is nowhere mentioned as such. Netflix itself has indeed not yet provided a definitive answer about the number of episodes and seasons. So we'll have to wait a little longer for the formal information.

Beautiful man, such creative minds... How did you come up with this? :P I'm not at all familiar with the book series, but so far it is a very interesting series and I am very curious about how the San Ti will want to keep humanity "stupid" so that technology will not develop as quickly as normal.

The book series is known as unfilmable due to the complex subject matter, but David Benioff and DB Weiss have managed to incorporate all of this into a gripping series of eight episodes. I can't wait for season 2!

Even though I started watching with a lot of skepticism, the series still surprised me in a positive way. An interesting storyline that remained interesting and the constant palpable threat of the coming extraterrestrials kept the tension high. I watched the first season in two days and it obviously leaves me wanting more and the series is crying out for a sequel, which I of course hope will happen soon.

I'm a fan of SF. Still, I'm not completely into it right away. Possibly due to the many switches from old to new, a game and then reality again. I will look further and hope that I find it better and better. Will this surprise me in a positive way?
