I have to say that Reign has been a big surprise for me this season. I expected to find nothing about it (since I'm not really into historical films and series) and that it would be canceled soon, but I seem to look forward to Reign every week because of the interesting mix that this series brings incl. modern music.

Normally I don't like very historical, old-fashioned movies/series. But this is really a wrong bias with the Reign series. I am mainly concerned with the story and the actors, but in my opinion they are also very suitable for this series. The series has enough surprises, so you remain curious about the sequel.

I was annoyed by modern music in the beginning. After a few episodes it became less and around the tenth episode I was done. Watched the first season in a weekend and I'm now :)

At the first episodes, I thought "what a bad series"... But I persisted and the further the better. What didn't belong to me was the modern music that could be heard every now and then. It really didn't fit the zeitgeist of the series. But as I said, after watching a few episodes, the intrigue started to stand out, so it got exciting. Very realistically made with an eye for details.
