The first two episodes were very good in my opinion. Definitely a good replacement for Agents of Shield, which won't resume until March.

Even for people who weren't fans of Agents of Shield, Agent Carter is a must and for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe it is a must watch. ;)

I personally found the first season to be the strongest: tighter narration, with a more engaging arc of suspense and an excellent balance of action, humor and character development. Hayley Atwell shines as Peggy Carter and carries the series with flair and conviction.
The second season offers more room for experimentation, but sometimes becomes a bit fragmented. The tone is lighter, with more humor and a more colorful setting (Los Angeles), but that is at the expense of the focus and urgency that made season 1 so strong.

Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Agents of Shield, Agent Carter ... Actually, no channel has managed to throw a decent super hero bastard up the tube. I also hold my heart for the Netflix Daredevil. Although of course it can never be worse than that Fan Bafleck version.
