I thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes, let me start by saying that. But I'd like to see a bit more before giving a rating. So far, it's mostly about the children and not so much about the alien(s).

Especially in the first part of the first episode, I got a strong Alien vibe. The whole atmosphere and the sets really contributed to that. And here and there, there are funny little things that allude to Alien. A sound here, a brief image there.

But once I got to the city, I found the story slowed down too much. Sure, there are some delightfully gory scenes, but the story just doesn't get going. So I'll wait and see what my final score will be.
It's nice to see that the children really stay children. No matter what they look like :-)

Watched episode 1. Instantly reminiscent of the first alien films. You're immediately hooked. Curious about the storyline, the suspense, and the fact that they landed on Earth and weren't stuck somewhere in space.

De serie is wat mij betreft beter dan de laatste 15/16 Alien films! Lekker ver gezocht en moeilijk te begrijpen verhaal, goede karakters en cast, veel gore en veel ranzige aliens! Lekker simpel kijk plezier!

What immediately struck me about Alien: Earth is that it feels like a reset for the franchise. Instead of just familiar horror tricks or endless Xenomorph battles, you get a story that genuinely tries something new. I found that both courageous and refreshing.

The atmosphere is perfect: dark corridors, industrial spaces, and that constant feeling that something is amiss. It sometimes reminded me of the first time I saw Alien, that underlying unease. Visually, it's all top-notch, and the new creatures really add something special.

At the same time, I noticed the series wasn't always balanced. The first few episodes were slow and very explanatory. I had to push myself through, but halfway through, I was rewarded: the story gained momentum, and the suspense suddenly built.

What keeps the series going are the characters. I was especially captivated by Wendy, a hybrid who doesn't yet know whether she's more human or more machine. This not only raises interesting questions but also emotional moments.

For me, Alien: Earth isn't a perfect series, but it is a bold and intriguing step for the franchise, and I'm curious about a sequel.

I'm about to give up on this. I might try one more episode, but this story is seriously disappointing.

The Alien plays no more than a supporting role, especially after the second installment. It's all about the synths. And that could be fun, but it has nothing to do with Alien. And they have this idea that the more monsters you throw in, the more exciting it becomes. But if one Alien was enough for one of the most exciting films ever, then it's really a testament to incompetence that it's necessary. And it doesn't really make it any more exciting.
Maybe it's meant as a young adult series, but I'm clearly not the target audience for that. And don't call it Alien...

No, to quote Otto from A Fish Called Wanda: Disappointed!!

I don't know, I just saw episode 1 and yes, there are some really nice easter eggs in it about Alien, but other than that I didn't really like it at all.
No suspense, no strong story, it's all over the place, no Alien vibes (except for the Easter eggs, have you spotted Ripley's cat?). No, I'll give it another episode or two, but I'm not sure.
