Season 11 - Mackenzie River Delta in Arctic Circle, Canada - After the previous 10 seasons I thought I had seen it all and that there were no surprises for me. Well, that was a mistake. The location was beautiful again, I could estimate the participants pretty quickly... 3 diehards, a big loser (and I was right... hahaha...) and a number of serious participants who tried. In all previous seasons it has not been as cold as this time, I think. A big advantage of this season was that there was enough food for the participants, if you had the right skills. Anyone who thinks they can survive on a few berries and some soothing herbs was very wrong, there was no room for that. I dare to bet that the assignment of the first participant was staged by the participant himself and perhaps in collaboration with the program makers. He was a real loser who should be deeply ashamed. I would say go and see it all for yourself, before I give everything away. In the end I thought this season was the best of all.

Season 08 - Chilko Lake (Tŝilhqox Biny), British Columbia, Canada. Another new location and a very beautiful one too. Again 10 candidates and the last one wins. I hated the first half of the season and was on the verge of quitting several times. But I thought why will I have it easier than them? So I will also watch the last 2 seasons and hope to see $500,000 in my bank account. There were many moments of irritation for me from a number of candidates in the beginning, but fortunately the 2nd half went better and I even started to appreciate 1 candidate. What struck me most this season was that almost all candidates had problems finding enough food and that doesn't improve your mood. In the end, still a great season and worth watching.
