Alphas is een Amerikaanse sciencefictionserie van de zender SyFy. De serie ging in première op 11 juli 2011.
Alphas gaat over een groep zogenaamde 'Alphas'. Dit zijn personen met bovenmenselijk vaardigheden. Onder de leiding van de briljante neuroloog en psychiater Dr. Lee Rosen wordt een team van vijf Alphas gevormd. Samen moeten ze voor het Ministerie van Defensie misdaden oplossen die werden gepleegd door andere Alphas. De teamleden hebben echter uiteenlopende persoonlijkheden, waardoor de samenwerking soms moeilijk is.

just finished the second season. such a shame there won't be a third season. I was quite curious to see how it would continue after the open ending. will miss Gary very much anyway. what a great character.

I liked this series "nice" but it is not one that is "epic".. Heroes handled the whole Superpower story a bit better...

I am absolutely not a fan of the whole super power thing, and I know how to avoid everything from Marvel and DC. Not my thing. Still, I've seen all of Alphas. I can't say I'm a fan or that I'm so devastated that the show has been canceled. It was certainly a nice series, and as mentioned before, Ryan Cartwright did a great job as Gary. What I did like was that every Alpha also had a major weakness, precisely because they have a kind of superpower. One like many others, if you ask me, but one of the better ones.
