Syfy has officially cancelled Ascension

For many, this news will not come as a surprise but Syfy has officially cancelled the six-part series ‘Ascension’, therefore there will be no complete first season or second season.

While ‘Ascension’ had the potential to harbour multiple seasons, the series did not get the ratings that it should to be renewed for a second or more seasons.

“We were very happy with ‘Ascension’ as an event series, but with so much high profile development in the works, we have decided not to pursue a full series,” Syfy said in a statement.

Ascension will now go down as an event miniseries, unless it can find another network. MySeries will obviously keep you apprised of any developments regarding ‘Ascension’.

Did you expect that ‘Ascension’ would be renewed or cancelled?
