Banshee
Banshee is een Amerikaanse misdaadserie van de zender CineMax. De serie ging in première op 11 januari 2013.
Banshee gaat over een voormalig veroordeelde meesterdief, Lucas Hood, die zich voordoet als de nieuwe sheriff van Banshee, Pennsylvania, een dorpje met een grote Amish-populatie. Als sheriff moet hij zorgen voor gerechtigheid, maar tegelijkertijd misbruikt hij zijn positie om zijn criminele activiteiten voort te zetten, zelfs als hij wordt opgejaagd door gangsters die hij jaren eerder heeft verraden.

Pilot I liked better than the 2nd episode, but actually still too early for a real judgment. For now, I like Cinemax's Strike Back better, but Banshee definitely has potential...

Neh, this is a disappointing season unfortunately. And I say that as a big Banshee fan. The serial killer storyline does the series absolutely no good. The series misses what makes Banshee Banshee this season. I miss the interaction between the protagonists. I miss a nice big bath. I miss a catchy storyline. Fortunately, the sixth episode was clearly the strongest EP of this season so far. Hopefully the last two episodes will be a blast.

This season is also disappointing to me. The serial killer storyline is indeed redundant and they should have spent more time liberating Job, this was dealt with very quickly. With 2 episodes to go, there are still some storylines that need to be completed. I hope it will happen well and not that we will be left with a bad feeling after three beautiful seasons,

After season 3, they didn't really have an option to have the 'real' Banshee come back like previous seasons. Perhaps it is also better that they ended it instead of milking a series.

It's a shame they quit. But let's be honest: this shouldn't have gone on for much longer. The harsh violence of this one is of course enjoyment, but it will make you faint. In my view they stopped at the right time, after 4 seasons. A rarity in 'serial land'

The downvote (-1) makes no sense of course. Falco doesn't say anything wrong. Banshee is a wonderful series, one of my favorite series in recent years. Is it a shame it stops? Definitely! However, Banshee is a series that has a data that cannot be kept for too long. The makers (including Jonathan Tropper) just saw that and you can only praise them for that. Of course you can keep going until Season 8, but it will only be rehearsals. How often can you welcome and deal with new gangsters and scum in the same town? How many seasons can you justify "our Sheriff Lucas Hood" getting away with this cover up? It is just a given that will run out at some point and as creators you will have to see that. I really enjoyed it and the third season was definitely the best season so far. Banshee isn't the type of series that will ever really get recognition, but as far as I'm concerned, the third season of Banshee is one of the best seasons you as a viewer will see this year. On to a smashing closing season! Only 8 more episodes to round things off nicely and to end spectacularly. Probably Lucas's death, but any other ending wouldn't add up ... right?

I thought season three was the best season. Everything built up in season 1 and before 2 came to an enormous explosion of strength, revenge, grief and impotence in season three. Introducing Kurt Bunker, a great character. As indicated above, maybe take another look. I am very curious why you found season three less Jeroen.

Over the top is exactly what Banshee stands for. I wonder that a series must be credible. For example, how much credibility is there in Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and Dexter? So many people taste so much I think you don't really understand the concept of Banshee :)
