Season 1 is about Ava (Cuoco) and her husband Nathan (Messina), a down-on-their-luck couple, whose lives collide with an infamous serial killer terrorizing Los Angeles and seize a unique opportunity to capitalize on America’s obsession with true crime by making a podcast with the killer.
In addition to Cuoco and Messina, the cast also includes Tom Bateman, Priscilla Quintana, Liana Liberato, Natalia Dyer, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Aisha Alfa, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Li Jun Li, June Diane Raphael, Brandon Keener, Jessica St. Clair, Claire Holt, Miles Mussenden, Sebastian Quinn, Belmont Cameli, Aaron Staton, Timm Sharp, Yvonne Senat Jones, Lizze Broadway and Ever Carradine.
Season 1 launched June 8 to strong reviews and is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
Rosenberg serves as creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer. Bateman and Michael Costigan executive produce for Aggregate Films, along with Cuoco. Alex Buono serves as director and executive producer. Aggregate Films’ Roxie Rodriguez co-executive produces with Melissa Blake. The series is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
