Casting news and release date for Billions

Billions is the financial drama series of Showtime. Soon the fifth season will start and casting news and a teaser have also been released. We start with the casting news. Because Julianna Margulies (photo) and Corey Stoll (bottom photo) will join the cast. Golden Globe winner Margulies, who we know from The Good Wife and The Hot Zone, among others, will play Catherine Brant. Brant is an Ivy League professor and a best-selling author. Stoll (House of Cards (2013) and The Strain) will take on the role of Mike Prince. Prince is a successful businessman from Indiana.




The fifth season will start at Showtime on the 3rd of May. In Billions we see Paul Giamatti as (former) prosecutor Chuck Rhoades and Damian Lewis as rival, brilliant stock market trader Bobby "Ax" Axelrod. They needed each other in the fourth season, but it seems that in the fifth season they no longer do.

Asia Kate Dillon portrays Taylor Mason, a one-time acolyte of Ax who became a rival. Now Taylor is going to work with Chuck to take Ax down ... or so they make us believe. Maggie Siff returns as Wendy Rhoades, the estranged wife of Chuck moving closer to Ax. David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Kelly AuCoin and Jeffrey DeMunn have all been confirmed to return in the fifth season.
