Bodyguard (2018) is een Britse thrillerserie van de zender BBC One. De serie ging in première op 26 augustus 2018.
In en rond de gangen van de macht, vertelt Bodyguard het fictieve verhaal van David Budd, een heroïsche maar vluchtige oorlogsveteraan die nu werkzaam is als een Specialist Protection Officer voor de royalty- en specialistische beschermingsafdeling van de Londense Metropolitan Police Service. Wanneer hij wordt aangesteld om de ambitieuze en machtige minister van Binnenlandse Zaken Julia Montague te beschermen, wiens politiek staat voor alles wat hij veracht, vindt Budd zichzelf verscheurd tussen zijn plicht en overtuigingen. Verantwoordelijk voor haar veiligheid, is hij eigenlijk haar grootste bedreiging?

I thought the last episode was the best of the six. From Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio. that can be discarded. The same tension and a well thought-out scenario.

For me, the series is too long-winded at times, and the dialogue, particularly that of the officer in question (Bud), is not natural. The story itself is quite entertaining, but it sometimes verges on boredom.
