Burden of Truth to end with its fourth season

CBC has cancelled Burden of Truth. The Canadian mysterious drama series is ending with its fourth season. The final episode aired on the 18th of March.

Burden of Truth isn't going to get any more seasons as CBC has cancelled the legal drama series. “We are so proud of the stories we’ve been able to tell each season, especially those related to social justice,” representatives said in a statement. Brad Simpson created Burden of Truth, which premiered in 2018. Last year, the fourth season was announced.

Burden of Truth revolves around lawyer Joanna Hanley. She returns to her birth town to investigate a case. This case revolves around a group of girls who all suffer from a mysterious illness. Kristin Kreuk (Beauty and the Beast) portrays the lead character. Next to Kreuk, the main cast further consists of Peter Mooney (Rookie Blue) and Star Slade (Frontier (2016)).
