I can't get enough of this series! Great humour, now and then - no often - ehm.. "functional" naked (hehe) and it's not too good or anything. Just start with it!

First seasons are great. But a 7th season really wasn't necessary. Story has been milked out a bit in the meantime, but, good follower that I am, of course sit down for S7. But certainly not raw for the fact that it is ready. Okay, I'll probably miss Runkle a bit!

I can't get enough of Hank, Karen, Charlie Runkle (aahh hahaha) & Marcy!! What a lovely bunch of friends they are! That Marcy, she really beats everything with how she is. Actually, that goes for all 5 protagonists. I get a stomachache in my jaw from laughing. The humor in this series whahaha, really, I'm blue almost every episode because of the oversimplified comments & unintentional & unintentionally spoken aloud opinions that are given & also the great sometimes over the top nude scenes are great! I LOVE IT! For those who add as a review that the series is being milked out & that a seventh season should not have been needed anymore... You don't HAVE to watch it :P

Even Hank when he was still 'untouchable' thought the first season was better than that pathetic hope he was at the end... the ending wasn't that spectacular either, too bad...

You would almost stop watching shows from Showtime, how they milk everything: Dexter, Homeland and now this one... glad it's over

x-on:Gitana that is indeed not necessary, but I still had to watch with great pain how this series came to an end. David Duchovny is still playing his part as Hank Moody with joy and conviction, but as for his opponents this season… man man man. The most bizarre side-story ever, which just doesn't match the whole thing and absurd scenes. This whole bunch made a seventh season and if only someone had said we'll stop sooner and we won't let ourselves be milked as a series and serve as cash cows. I personally think it's very bad, besides putting time into it, it's just a shame that a given of the series is thrown overboard and ends up not taking itself seriously anymore. The only good thing about this last season are the scenes with Becca, Karen and Hank. Even Runkle and Marcy have had to make do with a terrible storyline. Finally, an honorable mention to the following actors: Oliver Cooper as Levon, Heather Graham as Julia, Rob Lowe as (again) Eddie Nero and Stu played by Stephen Tobolowsky. I hope they get offered another role someday, what a WAN achievement. In short, I'm sorry.

After I saw the last episode, I missed it. The idea of never more Californication makes me sad. What a wonderful film where everything is over the top. It seems as if Hank is chronically stoned, this man is so relaxed. Marcy you are my wife! You will almost love Runkle as a guy! Karen, someone must have a conscience ;-). First a Californication the movie and then make some nice series again.

Brilliant series .... up to and including season 5. Real boys series, well acted, nice side characters. But in season the wear and tear started to come in. The side characters were turned from credible characters into caricatures. The end was fine and should have stayed that way. Season 7 was completely unnecessary: the jokes and comical situations were no longer fun and forced funny and the side characters were made from caricatures to caricatures of caricatures. Season 1 to 5: 9, season 6: 6, season 7: 4
