Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale) and Hulu will once again join forces in the creation of a new drama series. A new series called Candy has entered production.
In the series - which was announced last Summer -, Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale) will portray the murderer Candy Montgomery from Texas. She has truly existed, which means the story is based on a true story. Last Summer, it wasn't known which platform would take up the series. Now it is. Elisabeth Moss will portray Candy at Hulu.
The series comes from UCP from Universal Studio Group and 20th Television. Robin Veith (The Act) wrote the script to the pilot. Supposedly, a writing group is still in the works. Michael Uppendhal will be directing Candy. Nick Antosca (The Act) and Moss will serve as executive producer, among several others.

The series revolves around Candy, who appears to have a perfect life. Until she is accused of the murder of one of her church friends, who also happens to be the wife of the husband Candy had an affair with. She is suspected of having killed her with an axe.
