Chapelwaite canceled by MGM+ after one season
There will not be a second season for the MGM+ series Chapelwaite. Series co-creator and executive producer Jason Filardi announced the news on X (formerly Twitter).

Cool series. A real slow burn, but definitely worth it. Based on a story by Stephen King but with the necessary expansions. That was also necessary to convert a story of 35 pages (in the Dutch translation) into a series of 10 episodes of about an hour. However, the atmosphere of the story, especially in the creepy house itself, has been well preserved. Brody whispers his way through it with flying colors and really carries this series. The change he undergoes is conveyed well. The finale is a bit abrupt, but the ending is very well thought out. It seems clear that this will remain a miniseries or event series, because the story has been told. Of course you may wonder what happens to the people who remain at the end. But on the other hand, I really don't think that's necessary. It was (very) good. PS, I don't know why it says everywhere (including here) that we are only at episode 8. But know that the entire series is already available.
