This series really has the look and feel of Doctor Who / Sarah Jane. Too bad the season only has 8 episodes. Anyway, I enjoyed these episodes. Hope for April that she will be prettier again ;-). But what are the Governors and what do they have with the weeping Angels? Hope they give the series a sequel. It's BBC so that makes it more likely than that of an American series.
They are planning to broadcast it later on BBC One and BBC America. It is not known when. The ratings on BBC Three were nothing to write home about, but that's to be expected with an online platform. They probably let it depend on how it scores on the other channels. I also hope for a second season. For the rest, I had a great time with this one. I was particularly impressed with April and Aries. Still, I found it a bit irregular in structure and tone.
In the end it was a reasonable first season. I don't really have the real Doctor Who vibe yet, but it can still come when they continue with the series. And use some more aspects (Weeping Angels, Cyberman or Daleks) from Doctor Who. April, Aries and Miss Andrea Quill are the best characters for me. I read that Ram will also be featured in an episode of the upcoming Doctor Who season and I would also like to see Quill in Doctor Who.
The BBC has not yet confirmed anything itself, but everything seems to indicate it. Low ratings do it to him, both via BBC iPlayer and BBC One. A shame, because there would certainly have been more in it. The only hope there is is that Class is still doing reasonably well on BBC America, where it will air from April.
Yes the BBC is still keeping quiet, would not be smart to make it official now if it has yet to be released in America. But the British media are already reporting it so they will have sources. It will have to be a huge success at BBC America to get a second season.
