The clip from the first season shows Cross grilling a murder suspect, played by Jeremy Walmsley. He insists he doesn't want to confess, even though the detective reveals he already has.
“’Life’s fitful fever.’ Yeah, I caught that. It’s Macbeth, right?” Cross, who uses forensic psychology to solve crimes, tells the cornered suspect named Dick Miller. “Well, good luck getting a conviction with that,” the suspect tells Cross as his superiors and the District Attorney on the other side of the interrogation room one-way glass suddenly beam over another case solved.
In the thriller, based on the characters from James Patterson's bestseller Alex Cross, Hodges, as a successful Metro PD detective, takes on the role of killers and their victims to identify and ultimately catch killers.
In an earlier teaser, Cross was forced into a deadly game as he pursues a psychotic genius who uses a menacing mask, and possibly more than one killer, to outrun his pursuing detective.
In addition to Hodge, Cross stars Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford and Ryan Eggold.
The first season of Cross premieres worldwide on Prime Video on Thursday, November 14. Ahead of the premiere, Prime Video has already renewed the series for a second season. Cross was created by showrunner and writer Ben Watkins, who produces the series through his Blue Monday Productions.
Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, Craig Siebels, Patterson, Bill Robinson, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost also produce. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television.
