Have seen the whole series. I thought the series was very good, a relief! Especially the actor who plays Merlin is very good. His attitude of half hanging on to his stick while appearing wise and silly is very entertaining and unique. What also attracted me and is very strong in the film is the dividing line between fiction (spirituality) and reality. On the one hand you see magic and fantasy and on the other you see the real historical course of Romans in Britain. That way you can choose to see the magic as something real or just how the Iceni, which I think the Fey are supposed to represent, could experience it then. I have been looking for a long time for a series that can put cultures that magical thinking into a realistic perspective. It does not matter that something really happens now and then that is not possible. There is also a nice pace in the story, there are almost no dull moments. I think this series has one of the highest tempos in its storyline I've ever seen, which makes it very strong. There are a few points for improvement. It seems that many scenes were not finished. That sometimes bothers you because you know more again and then find out through a completely different scene how it turned out. For example, Nimue and a few others were whirling around in a demon mountain and then suddenly they jumped to a scene with other figures, where Nimue suddenly appeared without telling how they got out of the mountain? You just miss a whole lot there. I also don't think Arthur and Nimue are very good. I think the actress who plays Nimue has a certain charisma, so she looks like an ex. But something seems to be missing. They are not strong characters in the series, compared to others like Merlin and the Weeping Monk. Which may also have to do with the uncertainty of their character. Obviously, they have yet to become the person they are according to legend. I also wonder whether certain things have been worked out properly. For example, the Widow (from the shadow lords?), First Merlin's friend, but is she still that at the end of the story? Will I still find out? I don't think so, the ending was very open and hoped to clarify that. She is now dead because she wanted to stop Morgana from bringing the sword to Nimue. This after Morgana heard that the Widow is stalking nimue and doing something to deceased people. I don't know if I should conclude that the Widow was just playing a big game with Merlin and I haven't figured it out at the end of the series. On the one hand, the Widow is an oracle for Merlin, on the other an antagonist. I therefore found the end very disappointing and based on that I should give the series a 7 instead of an 8.

Tastes differ, it turns out. I thought it was a very nice series to watch and I hope there will be a second season. Maybe not the best series, but definitely worth watching for me.

Exciting storyline. Nice concept. Unfortunately poorly acted by the lead actress. Beautiful girl but unbelievable for fight scenes and decisive actions. The background acting actions are also amateurish. Strange choices for such a potentially excellent series. Unfortunately !!

Sometimes even the most brilliant minds can go completely wrong. Nike designer Tinker 'The Architect' Hatfield, for example, not only gave us the timeless Air Max 1 and the iconic Air Max 90 Infrared, he was also responsible for the disfigured Air Jordan 9. It is that the International Criminal Court in The Hague at the time was not yet had been established, otherwise he would certainly have been arraigned for that aesthetic crime against humanity. But Tinker is not alone in his slips. Nas dropped an album with Nastradamus that instead of Grammys gave him only scornful laughter, Johan Cruijff thought that a year of Feyenoord was a good decision and Frank Miller is not doing himself any service with the cringing Cursed. While Miller - who made a career at DC Comics and Marvel - was still very successful in the past with his (cult) classics 300 and Sin City, this new Netflix Original is one not to give too much publicity at parties and parties. Nimue, Lady Of The Lake, The Wolfblood Witch and Queen Of The Fey may have almost as many names as Daenerys Targaryen, but that is where every other comparison with the imposing dragon mother ends. In this alternate narration of the King Arthur story, it quickly becomes clear that Netflix has cast a somewhat bleu and timid girl for 'a real woman's job'. From a character who has to defend her world against the whims of a warlike king and a bunch of radicalized Christians, you would expect more personality than actress Katherine Langford can cough up. I was already annoyed by her passive-aggressive presence in 13 Reasons Why and Langford has not been able to take away that maddening displeasure with Cursed. On the contrary. If you start using Cursed in the hope that you will be presented with a nice dark Frank Miller story again, you will unfortunately be disappointed. Only sporadically - very sporadically - do we get a glimpse of what made films like 300 and Sin City so incredibly cool: that characteristic, grim cartoony style and a lot of blood spatters on your screen. Perhaps everything would have been different if Frank Miller had been involved not only as an executive producer but also as a director on this latest Netflix Original. Perhaps he could have kicked the cast in the ass, because Katherine Langford is certainly not the only one who does not know how to impress. The acting is mechanical and the lyrics are mostly unemotional - and on automatic pilot. Those who do manage to put a little feeling into it, talk as if they are reciting a play from Shakespeare's Hamlet in a well-filled Carré - with a supported voice. It's so ridiculous that at times it becomes downright laughable. Almost as hilarious as the sets, which seem to be made mostly of plaster and styrofoam. Even the computer-generated vistas could have come straight from Windows 10's default wallpaper folder. It all ensures that you as a viewer cannot actually lose yourself in Cursed for a moment, something that a fantasy series is pre-eminently intended for. Now that I think about it, Cursed casually walks in all the ditches that we had to fish The Witcher out before. A painful observation. Fortunately, we can always turn to Starz's Spartacus for a good Miller-esque series.

After a battle in several villages, the Fairies became extinct. 1 last resort; take the sword to Merlin the wizard. Nihme encounters plenty of setbacks during this journey. Is her mother's last wish the right one?
