No second season for Deputy

No second season for Deputy

FOX has cancelled the police drama Deputy, starring Stephen Dorff, after only one season.
Usually, the network managers decide what'll happen to existing series after they've seen the new pilots of possible replacement series. But this isn't a normal situation. Due to the corona crisis, there were no pilots to see. Nonetheless, FOX has decided to cancel Deputy after its first season. After Almost Family, Deputy is the second series to be cancelled by FOX. Deputy had its season finale on the 26th of March, and just like Almost Family, the ratings weren't very high. Next to Dorff, the series also starred Yara Martinez, Brian van Holt, Siena Goines, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Shane Paul McGhie and Mark Moses.

Deputy revolves around Bill Hollister, a true man of justice, who is perfectly comfortable kicking in doors but struggles during staff meetings. When the sheriff of L.A. County drops dead, Bill becomes acting sheriff of Los Angeles County. Here he leads 10.000 sworn representatives who keep an eye on the modern Wild West.
