Disparue is a French mini-series which aired on France 2. The series premiered on April 22, 2015.
Set in Lyon, the show traces the increasing trauma of the Morel family who fall apart when their 17-year-old daughter fails to return home from a night out. As the hours pass and the police investigation builds, The Disappearance explores every parent’s worst nightmare. There are similarities to Broadchurch in that the lead detective has a complicated backstory while the family members and friends each appear to be hiding something.

I thought Disparue was a series with great acting. The emotions touch you, often because you can relate to the characters well. The episodes seem slow at times, but because everyone has something to hide you are often put on the wrong path. I thought some small details were brilliant, such as the always eating Camille.
