What a terribly bad series. As good as Penoza was, this sequel / prequel about Luther is that bad. And that while the often taciturn Luther was quite an interesting character in Penoza. Raymond Thiry is again just good at his role, but the screenplay, the sound, the casting is just ... bad. Not that the actors are not good, but the younger Luther (Andreas actually, played by Martijn Lakemeijer) does not resemble the contemporary Luther at all. And I mean not only in appearance, but also in behavior. The age difference between Lakemeijer and Thiry is also much more than the 25 years bridged in the series. So, in other words, Andreas just had a very young head but was actually older, or in other words Luther has grown considerably older at a rapid pace. I can go on and on about what was wrong in terms of story, but this reaction is long enough, haha. No, as far as I'm concerned, Doodstil was a series that could have been much more in it. Missed opportunity of the makers.
Seen the first episode and this is another one with potential! Action, suspense and crime .. Delicious! Good actors especially Martijn Lakemeier! Recommended!
