Downton Abbey is een Britse historische dramaserie van de zender ITV. De serie ging in première op 26 september 2010.
Downton Abbey speelt zich af in het fictieve Downton Abbey, hier staat het huis van de graaf van Grantham, in het begin van de regeerperiode van Koning George V, gedurende de twee jaar voorafgaand aan de Grote Oorlog en te beginnen met nieuws van het zinken van de Titanic, een gebeurtenis die triggers veel van de verhaallijn. Het volgt het leven van de aristocratische familie Crawley en hun personeelsleden.

Already seen the 1st series on Belgium One. Following the Eurovision Song Contest last week, I thought that the series was only interrupted. It turns out that the first series consists of seven parts.....and you really long for the sequel. In one word.....Stunning! I am so glad that in March this year the shooting for the second series has started. It will take a while but I can hardly wait!
