Sadly, interest in becoming a teacher or remaining a teacher is reportedly the worst in our nation’s history. Dr. Phil tackles the teacher shortage, the “Great Resignation” of teachers, low student standards, teacher frustrations, and new laws in states like Arizona that put teachers with non-traditional backgrounds in classrooms. Other states are pushing universities to expedite teacher certifications, and some districts are hiring student teachers who are still enrolled in college to be full-time first-year teachers.
