Exactly what I feared. The story doesn't add up. Only in 10,000 years will Paul Atreides be born. The Kwisatz Haderach, or the first man with gifts like those of the Bene Gesserit. And now there's this Frimmel who can resist "the voice" and has all sorts of other vague paranormal gifts that I, as an avid reader of Dune and its sequels, have never heard of. When I saw that, I actually wanted to stop this series. In fact, like Foundation, it's already kind of ruined for me by this inconsistency. I want to look further to see if they have an explanation for this, but I'm afraid not. I heard a vague story about a worm somewhere, but that didn't really convince me either. Too bad.
