ER is een Amerikaanse medische dramaserie van de zender NBC. De serie ging in première op 19 september 1994.
ER gaat vooral over de levens van de mensen die in het ziekenhuis werken. Sommige van de plots in de serie strekken zich uit over meerdere seizoenen. In de lange tijd dat de serie al loopt zijn er veel personages vertrokken en veel bijgekomen. Naast de persoonlijke levens van het personeel staan in elke aflevering (soms in meerdere afleveringen) verschillende patiënten centraal. Daarbij komen ook thema's als euthanasie, homoseksualiteit en kindermisbruik aan bod.

ER what can you not say about it. This series is like no other hospital series I have seen over the years. I started watching this series as a teenager, but then strayed around season 8/9. Now I came across these old DVD boxes with the first 4 seasons, and thought why not. Have just watched ER all 15 seasons, and closed it with tears in my eyes. This series has fascinated me from start to finish. Despite the many 'main characters' and people who disappear from the series with time, for whatever reasons the series remained incredibly interesting to follow. You will experience many different things, from a simple burn to a complex bone fracture. The attitudes that the characters have with each other so that you often get parts of private lives. This makes the series so very realistic. It is a bit of a shock to see that this series consists of no less than 15 seasons, each with 22 episodes that all last around 40 minutes. But if you are a loyal fan of a real life hospital series .. THERE is one you really must see!

Series that was fun thanks to the combination of humor and drama. Unfortunately, more and more main characters disappeared over the years and that's a shame. Because through the many seasons and large number of episodes you became acquainted with the characters. Timeless series that is still current. The most copied series in many variations

You won't see a good doctor series like this one again ... in those days. but I do know another doctor series that are also good and they are: The night shift, Saving hope, Code black, Chicago med. !! It's highly recommended to watch it Thumps up
