
That will be followed by a global launch on Netflix, where the first four seasons of Fauda were streamed. The upcoming season of the action thriller will be filmed in Israel and in unspecified foreign locations, where the Fauda team will embark on a private mission abroad.
A return to production for Fauda follows the Israeli film and television industry mobilizing in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023 attack on southern Israel by Hamas terrorists.
Created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, Fauda follows a team of elite Israeli undercover agents operating in the West Bank. In season four, a small terrorist cell raised red flags within Israeli security services, leading officer Doron Kavillio, played by Raz, to travel to Belgium for a mission that took a dangerous turn.
Fauda’s fifth season will be directed by Omri Givon (Hostages (IL)) and written by Omri Shenhar (Tehran, Magpie). Fauda is produced by yes TV and L. Benasuly Productions.
