A dark world of well-organised drug crime is hidden behind the calm life of Brabant. Jara and Rens both come to discover that when upon return to their birth province after a long time. She wants to clear the name of her father, he wants to distance himself from his criminal family - but they both get terribly entangled in the web of the upper and underworld, whose boundaries are becoming increasingly blurred.

If you are making a series about the Brabant drug trade, do that too. Missed opportunity this ... could have been so much better Too little action and too many tiresome conversations!

This series won't be for everyone. It's slow-paced and has long, sparse scenes. I think it actually heightens the brooding atmosphere and suspense. It's a good story, though a bit complex here and there. And sometimes a bit far-fetched. Great performances, especially from Rifka Lodeizen and Jack Wouterse. All in all, a thrilling and entertaining series. A second season would be a good fit, given the year the first season was released. But I don't think that's going to happen, given the year the first season was released.
