Frasier continuation may be happening!

Paramount+ is thinking about ordering ten more episodes of the Emmy-award winning NBC comedy series.
This continuation has been thought of for quite some time. Back in 2018, Kelsey Grammar revealed that he was considering to try and create another season of the comedy series. Now it appears as if this may actually happen.

Grammer, star and executive producer, has been at it for two and a half years to make this happen. He is in discussion with CBS Studios to return his series, which is originally a spin-off of Cheers. David Hyde Pierce (Niles Crane, Frasier's brother) has also been approached about a return to the series.

If it all works out, Frasier will return somewhere in 2022. Only if all the contracts with all the actors and producers have been signed. Grammer is trying to find a couple of writers for the Frasier sequel.

Frasier, created by the late David Angell, Peter Casey, and David Lee, is one of the most celebrated comedy series of the 1990s and 2000s. The show, produced by Grammer’s Grammnet Prods. and CBS TV Studios’ predecessor Paramount Network Television, ran on NBC for 11 seasons, from 1993 to 2004, and starred Grammer, David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, Peri Gilpin, and the late John Mahoney. Frasier set a record for the most Emmy Awards won by a scripted series at the time, 37, including five consecutive Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series.

This is probably the most successful spin-off ever.

Very good news for me! By the way, the title should be "Sequel to Frasier ..." instead of "Sequel to Fraiser ...."
