Frontera Verde

What a special series. Something completely new for me. I think you should be open to it, if not, there is no point in looking. I watched all the episodes and thought several times to stop and yet there was something mysterious that made me keep watching. In addition to the series itself, the images from the Amazon are beautiful. I'd say give it a shot.
