Futurama gets start date and first-look photos from Hulu for season thirteen

Good news for fans of Hulu's hit animated series Futurama: the thirteenth season will be released in its entirety.

According to the official description, the season promises another mix of absurd humor, science fiction, and emotional twists. We see Bender go completely off the rails, a volcano about to erupt, Fry facing a rival for Leela's love, and Dr. Zoidberg literally ascending to heaven. In short: chaos, romance, and space adventures as only Futurama can deliver.

Unlike previous seasons of Futurama – where new episodes were released weekly – Hulu is opting for a full binge release of all ten episodes simultaneously this time around.

The familiar voice cast is back. John DiMaggio returns as Bender, Billy West voices Fry, Professor Farnsworth, and Zoidberg, among others, and Katey Sagal reprises her role as Leela. Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman are also part of the regular voice cast.

Futurama originally premiered in 1999 on Fox, later moved to Comedy Central (2010–2013), and made a successful return to Hulu in 2023. In 2024, the series was among the Top 10 most-streamed original series according to Nielsen, demonstrating that the revival was a hit with audiences.

With season thirteen, Hulu promises another nostalgic and surprising journey into the future—this time, watchable in its entirety. The thirteenth season of Futurama premieres on Monday, September 15.
