Starlight's appearance immediately sparked a roar in the room, and her presence signals that the storylines of Gen V and The Boys are more closely intertwined than ever.
Showrunner Michele Fazekas confirmed this during the panel: "The series are talking to each other. Season four of The Boys sets up season two of Gen V. Homelander now has America in his grasp. We're showing what that looks like—in the country, at the school, and within the resistance that's starting to form."
At Godolkin University, Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater) is the new, mysterious leader. He's implementing a curriculum that promises to make students "more powerful than ever"—a clear hint that dark motives are at play. Marie quickly becomes entangled in his plans and appears to play a crucial role in the resistance.
Other revelations Gen V made at Comic-Con include a brief glimpse of the badge of Dr. Thomas Godolkin, the university's founder, played by Ethan Slater. His appearance hints at a deeper storyline about the school's dark origins. Chace Crawford also returns as The Deep, a former student of Godolkin University and member of The Seven. He made a surprise appearance at the beginning of the panel.

The panel concluded with an exclusive sneak peek at season five of The Boys, further underscoring the close connection between the two series. Cast members Derek Luh, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, and Hamish Linklater were also present at the panel.
The second wave of episodes premieres Wednesday, September 17, on Prime Video. Watch the trailer below.
