Gilmore Girls
Gilmore Girls is een Amerikaanse dramedyserie van de zender The CW (voorheen The WB). De serie ging in première op 5 oktober 2000.
Lorelai Victoria Gilmore, vernoemd naar de moeder van haar vader, groeide op in Hartford, Connecticut. Haar ouders, Richard en Emily, behoren tot de hogere klasse. Lorelais leven was al helemaal voor haar uitgestippeld, maar ze bleek een eigenwijze vrouw te zijn die helemaal niets moest hebben van de formele en ingehouden wereld van de rijkelui. Al op haar zestiende raakt Lorelai zwanger van haar nauwelijks oudere vriendje Christopher Hayden, ook een vrije geest uit een rijke familie. Terwijl hun ouders onderhandelen over een huwelijk, kijken Christopher en Lorelai vanaf de zijlijn toe. Lorelai krijgt een dochter, die ze naar zichzelf vernoemt (Lorelai Leigh), met de roepnaam Rory. Omdat Lorelai niet wil dat het kind de ambities van Christopher in de weg staat, besluit Lorelai haar dochter alleen op te voeden.

Seen this series in the years 2000-2007 and liked it a lot. Now it's on Netflix and I've watched all (!) Seasons in a row. It was a long session, but the pleasure I had was well worth it. Now we have to wait and see what the 4 new episodes will do. If they disappoint, I just watch the series again because I know that it will continue to be fun!

It was quite a ride, 7 seasons in two months, but one more episode and then the proverbial 'black hole' awaits. Fortunately, there is still A year in the Life to look forward to! I didn't like all episodes, but I really enjoyed the characters and Stars Hollow, really great :-)

Very nice series, especially season 1 to 3. Nice, fast conversations between Rory & Lorelai. Jess still has a favor factor, even though he makes a mess of everything. Luke is who he is and there are many nice side characters. I occasionally look back these seasons. Season 4 to 7 is a bit less for me, mainly because Rory's storyline is getting worse and she does things that don't suit her at all. A Year In The Life was fun, but I secretly expected more from it.
