GLOW - Season 2
Liberty Belle is dangling, just like the fate of our country in 1776! - Bash
The girls are back and how! Shortly after the ending of the first season it was announced that GLOW would receive a second season. The ending of the first season really called for a second one. And once again all the girls are part of the team and even more driven and enthusiastic than ever.
Gradually a close friendship starts to grow between the two women and the rest of the team. The girls, together with Sam, even manage to appear on TV.

The second season starts slightly less positive. Business is not going well and male wrestling ousts the girls from their prime-time slot on TV. Sam and the girls have to give their all to save GLOW from ruin.
Season two focuses more on the personal lives of the girls and Sam, so the wrestling disappears a bit more to the background. This season is also a bit more dramatic. Halfway through the season, it becomes a bit of a drag, but the last three episodes make up for that. Just like season one, this season calls for a renewal. It is also more obvious the creators of Orange is the New Black are involved. And then the finale, wow, what a spectacle, what a show!
Yet this season doesn't compare to the first. Some episodes seem totally out of place. They are just filler episodes which, in my opinion, didn't fit in this show.
Despite all, I have really enjoyed the second season. Those girls have, one by one, stolen my heart and I loved watching their performances in the ring and be a part of their lives. And the music is, for everyone who experienced the Eighties, a pleasure, and it was such fun to recognize all the hits. And what an era. If a third season of GLOW will be made, I will be there. Still not in the front row, but I'm willing to book a seat for the third row. I am ready for the continuation of the journey these girls are on.

In season one we saw actress Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie, Mad Men) trying to inject new life into her career. She is called for an audition for a part in GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling). She soon finds out it's not for a movie, but an all-female wrestling team. At first, her boss Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron, Girls) has his doubts about Ruth, but it's not long before they become friends. But when her friend Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin, Nurse Jackie) gets an important part in GLOW, and when Debbie finds out that Ruth is having an affair with her husband, it causes problems for their parts in GLOW.The girls, together with Sam, even manage to appear on TV.
