The Amazon streamer has announced that the series, starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant and based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, will end with one full-length episode. The 90-minute episode will go into production in Scotland early next year.

Prime Video also noted that Gaiman will not be involved in the production of the series finale (although he did co-write). Earlier this year, five women accused the author of sexual abuse; their claims are detailed in a podcast entitled Master: The Allegations Against Neil Gaiman. He has denied doing anything wrong, but offered to withdraw from the final Good Omens to allow production to continue and closure on the story.
The streamer has renewed Good Omens for a final season in December 2023. The series centers on the angel Aziraphale (Sheen) and the demon Crowley (Tennant), who must work together to avert Armageddon. The series started as a limited series, but its success led to a renewal for a second season, which aired in July 2023.
Narrativia's Rob Wilkins, who represents Pratchett's estate, and Josh Cole, head of comedy at BBC Studios Productions, will produce the final season/episode. Good Omens comes from Amazon MGM Studios, BBC Studios Productions and Narrativia.
Prime Video also has another Gaiman film adaptation, Anansi Boys, planned. Production on that series has been completed, but no premiere date has been announced yet (the premiere will likely be postponed to 2025). Both Anansi Boys and Good Omens were the result of a first-look deal between Gaiman and Amazon; sources say they have asked for comment on the status of the deal.
Besides, it remains a strange phenomenon that accusations can completely ruin someone these days, without a trial or provided evidence. Someone just has to shout something, et voila, a reputation is destroyed. Strange, huh?
