The series, which recently began production on the previously announced four bonus episodes in New York City, airs Thursday, May 23. A total of fourteen episodes will make up the fourth and final season. Paramount+ announced last month that this would be the final series of Evil.
In the coming episodes, Kristen (Katja Herbers), David (Mike Colter) and Ben (Aasif Mandvi) continue to judge cases involving quirky technology, possessed pigs, demonic oppression and encroachment, a dance muse summoned by alleged witches and an evil relic. Leland tries to trick Kristen into raising an anti-Christian baby conceived with her egg.
David is recruited by the Vatican Secret Service to use "remote viewing", a paranormal ability to see the invisible and thus detect evil. Ben is hit by an ion beam, causing him to see visions of a jinn taunting him until he discovers an unusual solution to banish it. Ultimately, the three of them realize that they only have a few weeks left to review cases because the parish has decided to disband the team due to lack of funds. This culminates in a final confrontation with Leland and the 60 families that make up Evil in the modern world.
The series also stars Michael Emerson, Kurt Fuller, Andrea Martin, Christine Lahti, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp.
Evil is produced by CBS Studios in association with King Size Productions. Robert King, Michelle King, Liz Glotzer, Rockne S. O'Bannon and Sam Hoffman serve as executive producers. The series is distributed internationally by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
