Acorn TV and Channel 5 return to solve more mysteries with Madame Blanc.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries, starring Sally Lindsay, has been renewed for a fourth season and is quickly becoming a cornerstone for the AMC streamer and the Paramount UK network.

The seven-part series, which kicks off with a Christmas special, returns to Sainte Victoire at the end of this year for more murder mysteries and sunshine.

Lindsay returns as Jean White, who has a budding romance with her sidekick Dom Hayes, played by Steve Edge. Co-writer Sue Vincent stars as mechanic Gloria Beaushaw, Robin Askwith and Sue Holderness reprise their roles as the eccentric couple Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James and Alex Gaumond returns as Chief Constable André Caron. Tony Robinson and Paul Chuckle round out the cast as Dom's Uncle Patrick, a petty thief turned bar owner, and Trevor, Gloria's father. There will also be guest appearances, which will be announced in due course.

Lindsay said: “I think if you had told me five years ago when I came up with the idea of Madame Blanc that in the not-too-distant future our show would be not only a hit in the United Kingdom but America, Australia, and Canada (to name but a few), I would have been astounded.”

The fourth season is directed by Dermot Boyd and produced by Jake Rollins, with Mike Benson and Andy Morgan serving as executive producers for Clapperboard alongside Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry for Saffron Cherry. The series was commissioned by Channel 5 by Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor.
