Gossip Girl is een Amerikaanse romantische dramaserie van de zender The CW. De serie ging in première op 19 september 2007.
Gossip Girl vertelt het verhaal van een aantal rijke tieners die leven in de Upper East Side in New York City. Terwijl ze op het punt staan naar de meest belangrijke universiteiten te gaan, gebeuren er allelei dingen onderling. De grote vragen zijn niet: wie studeert af met het beste cijfer. Maar eerder: Wie heeft het meeste geld, wie doet het met wie, wie is de Queen Bee van het Constance Billard en natuurlijk, wie gaat met wie naar het Prom? En wie kan je beter inlichten over iedereen die er toe doet dan Gossip Girl? Kristen Bell spreekt de stem in van Gossip Girl. Gossip Girl heeft een website en weet élk schandaal van íedereen die er toe doet. Zij stuurt de hele serie door smsjes naar iedereen met de nieuwste schandaligste roddels. Hoe je een Gossip Girl sms kan herkennen? Simpel. Iedereens mobiel gaat vlak na elkaar af. I've seen all seasons of GG 3 times. If it's up to me, I'll start all over again. The superficiality, mixed with the complexity of the characters with lives that everyone can only dream of, ensure that you can completely languish through this series. Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf (with all credit for the extremely good acting talents of Ed and Leighton) together or separately, make the series.

Gossip Girl is a fun series about rich kids/adults in New York. If you like fashion, this series is definitely a must! Beautiful people, beautiful clothes and good stories, what more could you want?

It took me a while to get used to the first episodes. But once I got into the story, I couldn't wait for the next episode! It really keeps you interested until the very end!

Was against the series at first, but after a few episodes it was interesting especially the gossip girl idea that you are not safe anywhere. Unfortunately, the series has deteriorated at the beginning of season 5 and understand that there are only 10 episodes in season 6. think the ideas are starting to run out

Took a while to get used to the series, but now that I'm used to it, I'm totally addicted :) I'm now in the beginning of season 3 and I'm sooooo curious what else happens!!

Definitely agree with Karen. Not to mention Blair's jealousy of her "best" friend Serena.

Not necessarily that they look alike, 90210 has more of the same in terms of age category and the rich person life in which teenagers live in a world full of gossip, parties etc. If you are looking for something more mysterious "who is gossip Girl" then I would go for Pretty Little Liars go, there you have the mystery "who is A"

These kinds of series (Gossip Girl, The Fosters, Switched at birth, and others) are my 'guilty pleasure'. I feel eighteen again as I immerse myself in the lives of teenagers Dan, Serena, Chuck, Jenny, Vanessa, Nate and Blair. The adult characters in the series, their parents, are also well cast and play strong roles. Yet it was Blake Lively who lured me to this series, after seeing the feature film The Age of Adaline I fell under the spell of this fantastic actress. I wanted to see everything about her, including Gossip Girl. And guess what? Me like :-)

I hear and read more and more about new episodes coming. I hope so but nowhere do I see the redeeming word that it is so.
