Hacks Season 4 Gets HBO Max Launch Date and Trailer

Hacks Season 4 Gets HBO Max Launch Date and Trailer

The fourth season of Hacks joins a crowded spring television calendar as several series secure Emmy consideration dates.
HBO Max’s comedy series, the defending winner of Best Comedy Series at the Emmys, is set to debut soon.

The 10-episode series follows Deborah (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) as they work to get their late-night talk show off the ground amid rising tensions between them.

HBO Max also released a trailer for the upcoming season, which you can watch below.

In order to qualify for an Emmy, Hacks will have a slightly odd release schedule: Two episodes will stream on April 10, followed by one episode per week for four weeks after that. Episodes seven and eight will both stream on May 15, and the final two episodes of the season will air on May 22 and May 29. The Emmy deadline for this year’s awards is May 31.

In addition to Smart and Einbinder, the Hacks cast for season four includes Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, Dan Bucatinsky, Helen Hunt, Tony Goldwyn, Kaitlin Olson, Jane Adams, Lauren Weedman, Christopher McDonald, Poppy Liu, Lorenza Izzo, Johnny Sibilly, Paul Felder, Polly Draper, Luenell, and Aristotle Athari.

Guest stars joining the cast this season include Julianne Nicholson, Michaela Watkins, Bresha Webb, Robby Hoffman, Eric Balfour, Danny Jolles, Gavin Matts, Grover Whitmore III, Holmes, Jasmine Ashanti, Katy Sullivan, Matt Oberg, and Sandy Honig.
