The series works largely thanks to Sam Claflin, who convincingly portrays Laz as someone balancing between control and complete dislocation. His search for the truth—about his family, his past, and himself—gives the series a compelling emotional core.

Still, Lazarus isn't perfect. Some twists feel a bit contrived, and certain scenes feel repetitive. But because the season is short and the atmosphere is established effectively from the start, it remains captivating.

Harlan Coben's Lazarus is an atmospheric, sometimes messy, but compelling thriller that you can easily watch in one evening.

You have to love this style of filmmaking and storytelling. Dark, unpredictable. Scary moments. I love it; it's a change from the English crime dramas I often watch.
